Last year WATF - Woodcrafts And Textile Futures - came into the world with a bang! We introduced ourselves with a celebration, and organised during our very own 'Future Fest'. A year later this has turned into an annual event we're proud to present!

WATF Future Fest looks into the future, celebrates the innovations and inspirations of our wood(craft), furniture and textile industries, and builds bridges between industry and young talent.
In our 2024 edition that took place on October 9th, 275 visitors found their way to the BUDAfabriek in Kortrijk for the presentation of our "Augmented Creativity" trend report, the Twiinz.World awards, a wonderful youth expo, podcast studio and networking moments.
For the first time, our WATF trend report - Augmented Creativity - is available in a stunning book version, an exclusive gift to all Future Fest visitors.

WATF is invested in continuous research and interviews with industry experts and young designers, keeping track of innovations and staying future forward thinking we push our industries into the right direction, teaming up with young, bright minds that will build our future. Cross generational inspiration, industry resilience and knowhow meeting youthful courage, and intuitive knowledge of what tomorrow's world needs.
WAT Future Fest represents the voices of the industry. In panel discussions, 10 industry experts shared their experiences, visions and opinions on our industries.
The youngest voices of our industries are presented in a colourful Youth Expo. Young designers from all over Belgium, taking their first steps in our industries, showcased their visions and engaged in matchmaking with powerhouses of the Belgian wood(craft), furniture and textile industries.

Twiinz.World Award Ceremony is another initiative by the Belgian industry federation, Fedustria, aimed at informing and inspiring teens, aged 9 to 14 years old, about the wood(craft), furniture and textile industries.
Since the beginning of 2024 more than 1000 Belgian children have accepted the challenge of creating their own dream worlds with Twiinz.World. In the digital environment of Twinmotion, teens get to design dream bedrooms, classrooms and gardens with 3D digital twins of designs by Fedustria member companies.
